RPG ties up with Woolworth to sell toys

KOLKATA, India, June 7 (Reuters) – Spencer’s Retail, part of the diversified RPG group, on Saturday announced a tie-up with British retailer Woolworths Plc (WLW.L: Quote, Profile, Research) to exlusively sell its toy brand Chad Valley via its outlets.

Sanjiv Goenka, vice-chairman of the group, said India’s toy market was expanding by 30 percent on an annual basis and Spencer’s with 1.1 million square feet area in 65 Indian cities, Read the rest of this entry »

Idea Cellular to buy out Spice Comm

MUMBAI, June 7 (Reuters) – Idea’s Cellular is close to buying a majority stake in Spice Communications, a newspapers reported on Saturday, citing sources.

The promoters of Spice, in which Telekom Malaysia holds a 39.2 percent stake, are in final stages of selling their 40.8 percent stake to Idea, they said. Read the rest of this entry »

AXIS Bank to raise 65.20 bln rupees via private placement

Everonn Systems initiated as ‘neutral’ at Angel Broking

MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) – Angel Broking said it has initiated coverage on India’s Everonn Systems India Ltd. with a ‘neutral’ recommendation and a discounted cash flow (DCF) target price of 622 rupees, as the company’s top-line is set grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 52 percent and its bottom line at 28 percent during fiscal 2008-2010.
